What Does 555 Mean In The Bible

The Bible is a pretty unorganized book. There’s no table of contents and books kind of jump around. That makes it really difficult to locate specific information.

555 is an interesting number to find in the Bible. While there are at least 555 verses in the Bible that contain this number, few people know of the different significance that it holds.

The number 555 is a powerful and prophetic symbol of biblical fulfillment. Where did this powerful number come from? Is there any significance in the way it is used? And most importantly, how does the number 555 relate to the Bible and its fulfillment today?

What is the number 5:55 in Bible verse Revelation 1:20? In the verse John saw “seven golden candlesticks; and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.” The key phrase here is that Jesus has a golden girdle.

In Scripture, there is insufficient use of multiple number fives, such as 555, to determine an overall meaning. It is used, however, in relation to Moses and to Israel’s wilderness tabernacle. It can also be found in Abraham’s attempt to save Sodom and in God’s judgment for lying to him!

The fifth book of the Bible is named Deuteronomy, a name which means “fifth book.” Its fifth chapter and fifth verse (555) states the following about Moses and his role in God’s plan.

I (Moses) stood between the Lord and you at that time to show you the word of the Lord, for you were afraid because of the fire, and did not go up into the mountain . . . (Deuteronomy 5:5, HBFV).

Multiple fives (555) confirm Moses’ role as the mediator of the Old Covenant between God and the children of Israel. It also confirmed, as an intercessor, he was a type of Jesus (1Corinthians 10:2).

Wilderness tabernacle and multiple fives

When Moses finished setting up God’s tabernacle in the wilderness he anointed and consecrated the entire structure including its altar (Numbers 7:1). Each leader of Israel’s twelve tribes then presented a gift at the dedication of the altar.

Each tribal leader, among their many offerings, gave five rams, five male breeding goats and five male lambs (555) as a fellowship (peace) offering (Num. 7:12 – 83). Peace offerings (Leviticus 3:1 – 17, 7:11 – 36) symbolized thanksgiving for blessings received and fellowship with God. Those who made such offerings were also allowed to eat some of its meat.

As an interesting side note, the first tribe to make an offering was Judah (Numbers 7:12 – 17), followed by Issachar, Zebulon and so on to Naphtali. The order of the offering corresponded to the camping arrangement of Israel’s tribes around the tabernacle (see our picture of the wilderness camp!).

According to scripture, seeing angel number 5 is symbolic of grace, kindness, and change. When you see angel number 5 repeated in a number sequence, it could be a sign that your guardian angel is trying to communicate a life change with you.

Angel number 555 is a combination of the spiritual number 5 repeated 3 times. Some people have reported seeing this number in response to specific thoughts or prayers.

Psalm 55:5 says, “Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, and horror has overwhelmed me.”

This Bible verse is telling you that when you are afraid and overwhelmed by the stresses of life, God’s grace will carry you through the tough times, and His grace will abide with you even when things get better.

The Meaning of Angel Number 5

The most notable symbolic meaning of angel number 5 in the Bible is the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

During the time of Christ’s death, he was wounded 5 times for the sins of mankind. Those wounds included 2 nails in His hands, 2 nails in His feet, and one wound piercing His side. These 5 wounds were an example of the Lord’s grace toward us.

Angel number 5 holds a very special significance unto itself. So when you see repetitive numbers 555, you should acknowledge the importance of this special sign.

While angel numbers can have different meanings to different people depending on personal circumstances, there are three commonly known meanings of seeing 555.
