Sermons For Today

Sermons for Today: Everyone has experienced the feeling that something is wrong and there is nothing you can do to correct it. However, what if I told you that you don’t have to remain there indefinitely? What if I told you there are things you can do RIGHT NOW to get things off in a different direction? The sermon series this week is focused on that. So why does it matter if you have a good attitude or not? As a result, it determines how successful you will be in all aspects of life. No matter how hard you work, how talented you are, how much education you have, or how much experience you have, if you have a terrible attitude, everything will go wrong for you, and the worst thing that can happen is that.

Pray for your mind to be renewed daily

Any conflict you are engaged in must be fought inside the stronghold that is your mind, which serves as the focus of your life. Even if you have a great desire to perform something well, if it conflicts with what your mind thinks is proper, you will fail. No matter how much faith you have in a promise from God or how much hope it gives others who rely on Him for their salvation, you will never see those promises come true because they were not a part of what your mind knows to be true (like when God told King David that he would become king). In fact, even if you believe you have God’s perfect will for your life.

Let’s face the facts: our minds are filled with self-deception! We all want things that our minds tell us cannot happen—a new job promotion; a healthier body; financial freedom…and yet we continue living life day after day as though these things were possible simply because we refuse to recognize the limitations placed on us by our finite nature.

It does not matter how long you have been away from church, God is always ready for you to come back

It does not matter how long you have been away from church, God is always ready for you to come back.

God is ever ready to forgive.

God knows the thoughts of your heart, what is really in your heart and He loves you with an everlasting love!

Forgive to be forgiven

Forgiveness is a choice. It’s not a feeling, and it isn’t something that happens to you by chance. It’s not automatic, and it doesn’t mean forgetting or overlooking what happened in the past. Forgiving someone doesn’t mean that the hurt and pain go away when you forgive them; rather, forgiveness frees you from being chained to those past hurts and helps you move on with your life.

One of the most potent weapons we have at our disposal in this world is forgiveness because it provides us hope for a better future, both personally and as a species sharing this planet (or even just amongst ourselves). Despite our greatest efforts, we are all flawed humans unable to achieve perfection in our lives. We may start forgiving one other for whatever mistakes we’ve made along the way in life if we are aware of this fact about ourselves and others—and perhaps improve as a result of doing so!

Give that offering, it will bring a blessing into your life

God is not to be taken for granted. He has provided all that you have, and he desires to be given back. You might think of giving to God as an investment in eternity, or you might think of it as a way for God to bless your life today and tomorrow. Whatever viewpoint you choose, offering your tithes and other offerings will bring a blessing into your life now and in the future.

God expects us to love him in the same way that he loves everyone else—that is, without conditions. Giving a portion of our income to God through offerings that we voluntarily make from the bottom of our hearts is one way we can demonstrate our love for him (2 Corinthians 9:7). Giving these gifts allows us to express our thankfulness for everything God has done for us while also giving him the chance to use those funds where they are most needed (1 Peter 4:10). There may be times when you feel as though there is simply not enough money left over after paying bills each month; however, if this is the case, it may be time to reevaluate some expenses like cable television or vehicle insurance premiums so that more money may be allocated elsewhere.

You are never too far from God

God is always with you. He is always listening to your prayers, even when you feel like he’s not there. Just because you don’t feel like God hears your prayers doesn’t mean that they are unheard, and just because you can’t see God doesn’t mean he isn’t present in the world around us—even if it feels like he isn’t answering our prayers.

God cares about every detail of your life, but also knows when to back off so as not to overwhelm us with his presence. He knows how fragile human beings can be, especially when we’re trying our best at something hard or scary and need help from someone who has more strength than we do (which might be why Jesus told Peter “on this rock I will build my church”).

Your faith in God can move mountains

You have the authority to move mountains. You may think that this is hyperbole, but it isn’t. Jesus gave us the ability to do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13).

Jesus was a man of faith, so much so that he could say “I am the light of the world” in John 9:5-7. This is why we are told in Matthew 17:20-21 that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we can move mountains (or anything else). It’s up to you!

How do you get started? Start by trusting God with your life and then start acting on what He tells you to do with faith in Him at all times!
