Prayer To The Crucifix

If you are looking for the best collection of the most powerful prayers, you’ve found it. This is a prayer that I use daily, and it’s guaranteed to send positive results your way.

Prayers are used to worship a deity, or as an expression of hope and thanks. According to the Book of Common Prayers, they may be used either in public or private. There are several different forms of prayer, ranging from informal simple prayers such as an everyday greeting to a formal invocation of sacraments that only take place at a certain time (for example, the Eucharist). They can be said depending upon one’s mood, situation, or devotion. Prayer can take place privately in the home, where one might pray to a deity for a personal favor, or publicly in a group such as those led by religious leaders at places of worship.

God, I give thanks for all of the blessings you have bestowed upon me. I come before you today troubled about my financial situation. You have always provided for me when I have needed. Today, I need your help. Alleviate my stress and provide me with a solution to my money problems.

Heavenly Father and Mother, I commend to Your care my family and myself this day. May we keep before and help to perfect it in all things. Send down your blessings upon us according to Your great mercy, oh, Lord God.

Prayer To The Crucifix

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus

while before Your face I humbly kneel and,

with burning soul,

pray and beseech You

to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments

of faith, hope, and charity;

true contrition for my sins,

and a firm purpose of amendment.

While I contemplate,

with great love and tender pity,

Your five most precious wounds,

pondering over them within me

and calling to mind the words which David,

Your prophet, said to You, my Jesus:

“They have pierced My hands and My feet,

they have numbered all My bones.”

Amen.

BEHOLD, O good and sweetest Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech  Thee to impress upon my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity, with true repentance for my sins and a most firm desire of amendment: whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I consider within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds, having before mine eyes that which David, the prophet, long ago spoke in Thine Own person concerning Thee, my Jesus: They have pierced My hands and My feet, they have numbered all My bones [Psalm 21, 17, 18].

Say Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be for the Catholic Church and the intentions of the Holy Father. A plenary indulgence, under the usual conditions, may be gained by those who shall say this prayer with devotion before an image of our crucified Redeemer. A partial indulgence may also be gained for each devout recitation.

Prayer To The Crucifix

Behold, O good and sweetest Jesus,
I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight,
and with the most fervent desire of my soul
I pray and beseech Thee to impress upon my heart
lively sentiments of faith, hope and charity,
with true repentance for my sins
and a most firm desire of amendment.
Whilst with deep affection and grief of soul
I consider within myself and mentally contemplate
Thy five most precious wounds,
having before mine eyes that which David,
the prophet, long ago spoke concerning Thee,
“They have pierced My hands and My feet,
they have numbered all My bones.”
Amen.

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus,
while before Thy face I humbly kneel and,
with burning soul,

to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments
of faith, hope and charity;
true contrition for my sins,
and a firm purpose of amendment.
While I contemplate,
with great love and tender pity,
Thy five most precious wounds,
pondering over them within me
and calling to mind the words which David,
Thy prophet, said of Thee, my Jesus:
They have pierced My hands and My feet,
they have numbered all My bones.”
Amen.
