Prayer For The Holidays

Prayer For The Holidays: Dear Lord, I am so grateful for the gifts of family and friends, the beauty of this season, and a warm place to lay my head. I pray that you will bless all those who are less fortunate than myself with your presence, your love, and your grace. Please watch over my loved ones and keep them safe during this holiday season. Amen. Dear God, Thank you for this holiday season. We’re thankful for the opportunity to spend time with family and friends, and for the chance to be grateful for our blessings. We ask that you bless us with good health, so that we can enjoy all of these moments with those who mean most to us. We pray that we will have opportunities throughout this holiday season to forgive others and ourselves, so that we can make room in our hearts for peace and love. We pray that you would watch over those who are alone this season and help them feel loved by their friends and family. In Jesus’s name, Amen

Prayer For Safe Holidays

Holiday Prayers And Reflections.

We come before you this Christmas season, humbled and grateful for the gift of our faith. We are thankful for all that you have done for us, and especially for the gift of your son Jesus Christ. He has come to show us the way back to you and to guide us through life.

We ask that you bless those who are alone this season. May they know your love and comfort at this time of year when it is so easy for people to feel alone in their struggles and sadness. Amen

We are gathered here today to celebrate the holidays.

It is a time of joy, but also a time of reflection. We take this time to remember those who have passed, and those who are still with us. We also take this time to reflect on all that we have been able to accomplish this year.

May we be reminded of our own mortality, so that we might live each day as if it were our last. May we be reminded of the importance of family and friends, so that we might be kinder to one another and more loving toward our loved ones. May we be reminded of the importance of giving back to others in need, so that we may help those who cannot help themselves. May we be reminded of our responsibility for taking care of our planet, so that future generations can enjoy its beauty and bounty. And may we be reminded of how much others need our help, so that when someone asks for assistance from us, we will not hesitate to lend them aid or comfort them in their time of need.

Let us all remember what matters most during this holiday season—our friends, families and neighbors; our homes; our health; and above all else:

Dear God,

We thank you for the gift of this day. We pray that you will continue to guide us and protect us as we move forward into the new year.

We pray for safety, prosperity and peace for all nations around the world. We pray for those who are in need of your help, especially those who are suffering from the effects of the recent hurricanes.

We ask that you help us to be aware of all those around us who may need help or guidance during this holiday season. Help us to be good examples of what it means to be Christ-like by showing love and compassion to everyone we meet no matter what their race, religion or beliefs may be.

We ask that you help us/us/me (delete as appropriate) to remember those less fortunate than ourselves throughout this holiday season by giving back some time or money so that others may have a better life than they would otherwise have had without your help (insert specific needs here). We also ask that you guide each one of us so that we can make wise choices about how much money should go into our own bank accounts versus how much should go into someone else’s bank account or charity fund.

Dear Lord,

We are in your hands. We know you are with us and that you guide us through our lives.

Thank you for the gift of this holiday season, which gives us all a chance to reflect on the blessings we have received and give thanks for those who have helped us along the way.

Please help us remember that this time of year is not about material things or even gifts—it is about family, friends and loved ones coming together to share their joys and blessings with one another.

Please help us all take time out of our busy schedules to enjoy each other’s company and to give thanks for all you have given us this year.

And most importantly, dear Lord, please help us remember how much we need each other during these times of uncertainty in our world. Help us remember that we are all connected; nothing can be taken away from one without taking something away from another as well. Help us take care of one another not only during this season but throughout the whole year as well!

Thank you, God, for our family and friends. Thank you for the joy we feel when they are near and the peace we feel when they are with us in spirit. Help us to remember that we are all part of an interconnected web of humanity, and to remember that the most important thing is love.
