    Dear God,

As I sit here and pray for my mental illness, I want to thank you for all the blessings in my life. I know that sometimes it’s hard to see the good through all the bad, but I’m trying. Asking for help is not easy for me—I’m a pretty independent person who has always been able to do things on my own. But sometimes you need someone else’s help, and that’s okay!

Thank you for being there for me when I couldn’t be there for myself, and thank you for all of the people who have helped me over the years.

I ask that you bless everyone who suffers from mental illness today with peace of mind, hope in their hearts, and strength to keep going forward.

    Amen

Heavenly Father, we come to you today asking for healing and comfort for those who are struggling with mental illness. We pray that you would bring them peace and comfort in the midst of their struggles, and guide them to the care they need. We pray that you would give them strength to fight against these devastating illnesses and that your grace would be sufficient to sustain them through it all. We pray for those who have lost loved ones to suicide or mental illness, that you would give them hope and comfort in this time of great sadness. We pray for those who care for others with mental illness, that they might have strength and wisdom as they help their loved ones through this difficult time.

Lord God, we know that your plan is perfect even when it doesn’t seem like it at first glance. Please continue to work through your people on earth so that they may be used to bring glory to your name through their service of others. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen

    Dear God,

I pray for the person who’s struggling with mental illness right now. I pray that they find their way to you, and that you help them find the path to healing.

I pray for their loved ones, who are feeling powerless and frustrated. I pray that they know how much you love them, and how much you want to help them through this difficult time.

I pray for myself as well—that I would be patient with those around me who are struggling, and that I would never let my own selfishness get in the way of helping someone who needs it.

And finally, God, I pray for yourself: that you will continue to guide us all on this journey called life; that your presence will be felt in our hearts when we need comfort most; and ultimately that we will be able to find peace in your divine presence wherever we go.

    Dear God,

I have been suffering from a mental illness for years now. I am currently on medication and seeing a therapist, but I have had no relief from my symptoms. My mind is always racing, and sometimes I feel like I’m not even in control of my own thoughts anymore.

I am asking for your help with my mental health today. Please bring me peace of mind so that I can focus on the things that are important to me: my family, my friends, and my job. Please guide me through this difficult time in my life as well as give me strength to keep going when things get tough.

I know you’re always there for me, God, so thank you for listening today!

    Dear God,

I pray for the mental health of my friends and family. I pray that they may find peace and healing in their lives. I pray that their minds might be able to rest and recharge, so that they can be calm and clear in their thoughts. I pray that they might be able to cope with the stressors of life without becoming overwhelmed by them. I pray that they would know how much you love them, no matter what happens in this world or what is happening right now in their lives.

I pray that they would remember that you are always there for them, even when they cannot see you or feel your presence because they are so focused on other things right now.

I am so grateful for the gift of love that you gave us all through Jesus Christ! Thank you for being our Savior—our healer—and our friend who never leaves us alone!

Dear God, thank you for this day.

I pray that you will bless me with the courage to face my fears and the wisdom to know when I need help.

I pray that I will be able to recognize when my mental health needs attention and seek it out without shame or fear.

Lord, I pray that you will guide me through this day and help me find peace within myself and throughout my life.

Thank you for hearing my prayers today and every day.

    Dear God,

I come to you today in need of help. I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am so tired of feeling like a burden to everyone around me. I am so tired of not being able to make it through the day without having an anxiety attack or needing to take a nap. I am so tired of feeling like there is no hope for me and that nothing will ever get better.

I know that this is not what you want for me, but I feel like there are no other options for me anymore. Please help me find the strength within myself, and show me how to use it. Show me how to use my faith as a tool instead of an excuse not to take care of myself because it doesn’t feel like enough right now. Please help my family and friends realize how much they mean to me, even if they don’t realize it themselves right now because they don’t know what else they can do besides keep trying their best despite everything seeming hopeless right now too sometimes too sometimes too sometimes too sometimes too sometimes too
