Prayer For Family Who Has Lost A Loved One

Prayer For Family Who Has Lost A Loved One: If you have a loved one that is lost due to his or her relationship with an addictive substance such as alcohol, drugs, pornography, etc. this petition is for you. Based on countless testimonies from addiction survivors and their families, the Foundation for a Drug-Free World’s prayer for someone who is lost is designed to help you pray not just for your addict but also for yourself. We know how overwhelming it can be to know that your family member or friend is trapped behind bars of addiction and be powerless to assist them in breaking free. In fact, many times we have found ourselves asking the same questions: What can I do? How can I make a difference in this person’s life? For those of us trying to cope with a loved one’s destructive behavior, it is hard to believe that there really is a path out of active addiction. Do you know how to pray for someone who is lost or sinning? Being able to sway people towards Christ might be the most important thing in your life. It’s just as important that we reach those out there who are still lost. Prayer is the one thing we can do to bring people to God. If you are like me, when someone we know is lost in their life (no meaning or purpose), our only response is to pray for them. We want to pray that God would help them find the purpose He has for them. I hope you will pray for my friend Joe. He’s lost, and he needs God even more that he did before. I put together this prayer after asking God my signature question, “How can I help you?” Asking God how he wants us to get involved is a great way to start deepening the relationship. If we ask with the right attitude of humility, and listening, He will give us visions of what He’d like to happen.

Prayer For The Lost Soul

Dear God,

We pray for [name], who is about to have surgery. We pray that you would guide the surgeon’s hands, and bless all their work. May they do their best work possible, and may it be done with your guidance and blessing. We pray that this surgery will bring healing to [name]’s body, and that they will be able to return home as quickly as possible. We pray that You would provide them with comfort and strength during this time of healing, both physical and emotional.

We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

Powerful Prayer For The Lost.

May you see God’s light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall,
You do not walk alone.– Author Unknown

In Times of Loss…

We pray that in this time of loss,
You’ll feel God’s love much more
And that you’ll find your comfort
In the presence of the Lord
We pray God pours upon you,
His sweet amazing grace
And overflow your heart with peace
As you live in His embrace.

Condolences

May the sweet light of change shine in the darkness,
May the first breath of each morning begin life again,
May the memories unfold as prayers for life,
May the love continue to fill the silence.

Only For a Short While

Oh, only for so short a while you
have loaned us to each other,
because we take form in your act of drawing us,
and we take life in your painting us,
and we breathe in your singing us.

But only for so short a while
have you loaned us to each other.
Because even a drawing cut in obsidian fades,
and the green feathers, the crown feathers,
of the Quetzal bird lose their color,
and even the sounds of the waterfall
die out in the dry season.

So, we too, because only for a short while

have you loaned us to each other.
