Prayer For Easter Week

Prayer for Easter Week: iversity prayer for Easter Week The change of Easter is computed and predicted before-hand, but it could be gradual. The great and holy Friday marks that period of time when Jesus prayed in the garden before he was arrested by the Jewish leaders. This prayer for easter week is dedicated to the servant of God and my venerable spiritual father, THEODOSIOS OF THE ASSUMPTION, who reposed on Sunday May 1/8, 2017. He is truly a man of God who gave his life in humility and meekness. The worse part was that his body was neglected by the very people he served as a priest. The parish wanted to throw him away like trash in the garbage bag. But God’s will was done with great humility through the hands of Matt Brady who found out about this during an obedience visit to the Russian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco. Through this holy servant, those in distress were comforted, especially the poor who were denied of food and clothing by other humans. His body suffered pain from scoliosis but he endured it with patience because of his faith in God and his love for human beings.

How to pray your way through Holy Week at home | Diocese Of Cork and Ross

Dear God,

I pray that this week, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, you will fill me with peace and joy. I pray that in my busyness, I will be able to find moments to pause and reflect on your blessings. I pray that I will see the people around me as reflections of your love and grace. And I pray that my family and friends will feel your presence in our time together this Easter.

Lord, thank you for the gift of Easter.

We are grateful for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and we rejoice in the hope of eternal life.

We pray that you would continue to bless us as we seek to live out our faith every day.

Give us courage when we are afraid, strength when we are weak, and love for those who need it most.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Dear God,

I thank you for the gift of life. I thank you for the love you show me every day.

I pray that this week is a holy one for me and my family. I pray for peace, joy, and love in our hearts. I ask that you bless us with good health and happiness as we celebrate this wonderful time of year with family and friends.

Easter prayer for dinner

Dear Lord,

We are so grateful to be able to reflect on the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead this week. We pray that we may all be inspired to show our love for you in the same way that Jesus did, both by choosing to share your love with others and by living it out in our own lives. May we all be inspired by his example to live a life of grace and forgiveness, even when it’s not easy.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Holy Spirit,

We pray for our families and friends.

We ask that you guide us toward a deeper understanding of the true meaning of Easter.

We ask that you give us strength to face our fears and doubts, and to trust in your power and goodness.

We ask that you help us to recognize the ways in which we are already being called to live as disciples of Christ.

We ask that you help us to remember those who are hurting, suffering, or feeling alone. We pray especially for those who have been marginalized by society or religion, including immigrants, refugees, LGBTQ+, women and girls, religious minorities, people with disabilities—and all others who may feel excluded from full participation in society because of their identity or experience.

Holy Spirit, we pray for those who do not know you yet: please send them messengers who can speak with clarity about the love of God revealed through Jesus Christ; please send them companions who will accompany them on their journey into faith; please send them people of good will who will listen well and show compassion when confronted with questions about faith or religious practice.

Help us to be examples of Christ’s love today…
