Prayer For Autumn

Prayer for autumn: A prayer for autumn that will settle my busy thoughts and bring peace with the changing of the leaves. Prayer for the season of fall, when faith endures despite the rustle of the dead leaves. Prayer for the coming of fall, when the wind and the water will sweep away everything you know. Prayer for autumn, the season when life and death journeys give rise to fresh beginnings. I have been thinking of that autumn a lot lately. I know, I know. It’s not autumn yet.

But maybe because I am looking forward to having a change of seasons. Or maybe it is the fact that fall is one of my favorite seasons even though I now live in Southern California where you can see autumn leaves only on TV or in museum dioramas. Don’t get me wrong, I love the beach, but sometimes you just want to change the scenery around and look at the mountains and enjoy the cool ocean breezes instead of hot desert winds. Anyway, there are tons of things to do in South LA in fall: pumpkin patches, harvest festivals, baking fairs, chestnut roasts, leaf peeping and so much more. At least I have that – a season worth longing for every single day with every single sunrise!

Dear God,

We come before you today in thanks for the harvest that is autumn. We thank you for the crisp air and the cool nights, and for bringing a new season to our country.

We are grateful for the beauty of this time of year, and we ask that you bless all who work in agriculture to produce food for us. We pray that you give them strength and wisdom as they prepare for winter, and may their harvest be plentiful.

We also ask that you watch over our families as they make preparations for winter, and protect them from illness or injury during this time of year when there is so much work to be done.

In your name we pray, amen

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the bounty of autumn. The changing leaves, the cool and crisp air, the harvest moon—these are gifts that we are grateful to receive. We thank you for your provision, and we pray that we might be wise stewards of all that you provide. May we not waste any of it, but use it wisely to feed our bodies and minds. May we be good stewards of the land as well, caring for it so that it can continue to nourish us and others.

We ask this in your name, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen

Dear God,

We thank you for the autumn season. We thank you for the beautiful colors and smells of this time of year. We pray that we may find ourselves in a place of peace and gratitude while we celebrate the harvest of the year, and look forward to your renewal as well as our own.

We ask that you will help us to remember the importance of gratitude during this time, and to be grateful for all that we have been given. We ask that you will help us to remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves, and find ways to give back to them.

We thank you for the blessings of this season, for life itself, and for all of your guidance along our journey through time.

Dear Lord,

You are the creator of all things, and we thank you for this beautiful autumn. We pray that your presence would be felt in the air, and that your love would be felt in the hearts of those who walk through it.

We ask that you guide us as we navigate this season, and help us to remember that we are never alone. Be with those who are experiencing a sense of loss, whether it is from a loved one or from a point in time where they have found themselves alone. Give them strength and peace.

We pray for the people who have lost their way or feel like they have no direction. May their hearts find solace through your grace, mercy, and love for them.

Finally Lord, please bless us with an abundance of gratitude for all that you have given us this year—including these beautiful autumn days—and may we remember to share our blessings with others around us who may need it most right now too!

Dear Autumn,

I am so grateful for your arrival. I love the way you bring the change of seasons and harvest time to us. I love how you make me feel like there is something new to accomplish.

I look forward to spending the next few months with you and all that’s in store for us.

Thank you, Autumn, for everything that you do.

Fall is here, and with it comes a chill in the air and a sense of renewal.

The leaves are changing colors and falling to the ground, and the wind is beginning to blow harder. We can see our breath as we walk along, but there’s a certain beauty in that.

We’re grateful for this season, when we can see what was hidden by summer’s lushness. We’re grateful for this time of year when we can reflect on all that we’ve done over the past few months and make plans for what we’ll do next.

Thank you for the leaves falling from their trees so that new ones can grow in their place; thank you for the winds that blow them away so that the earth can be renewed; thank you for this time of year when everything slows down just enough to let us take stock of our lives and consider where we’d like them to go next.

Help us remember what brought us joy this past year, and help us find ways to pass that joy along to others before winter comes again. Help us remember what brought us pain or sorrow so that we can learn from it and move forward stronger than ever before. Help us reflect on where we’ve been so

Thank you, God, for this beautiful season of the year. Please help us to be mindful of our actions and their impact on the planet. May we find new ways to honor the earth and its creatures, and may we share in this bounty with those who are less fortunate. Amen
