Prayer For Authority

Prayer for authority: A position of authority gives one the ability to create, interpret, and enact laws. A person or group of people has the right to exert power inside an organization, social group, or country where they are granted the last say. I think that power must be won via a lot of effort, assiduity, and dedication. I pray that my husband will be able to establish his authority in the home and in life. In John’s Gospel, Jesus clearly states that his mission is to give us authority (John 5:20). The Greek word is exousia, which means right of power or to be a power unto oneself. This is the exact opposite of how we feel as Christians. We feel weak, powerless and at the mercy of our fears. This passage from John’s Gospel will give you the authority that you need by going to your heavenly Father.

Dear Lord,

We pray for your blessing on the work of our hands. We pray for the authority to do what we have been called to do, and to do it well. We ask that you guide us in our endeavors so that we may glorify your name and accomplish your will. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen

God,

I pray that you will give me the authority to make decisions, act on them confidently and with conviction, and be successful in my endeavors. I pray that you will give me the courage and strength to stand up for myself and others when necessary. I pray that you will help me make wise choices in all things, especially in matters of health and safety. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Father, we give you thanks for the authority that you have given to us over the earth and all its creatures. We ask for your guidance as we carry out our work. Grant us wisdom in all that we do, so that we might use your resources for the benefit of all humanity. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Dear God,

I ask for the authority to make decisions without fear. I ask for the wisdom to know when to make decisions and when not to; when to stand firm and when to compromise; when to listen and when not to. I ask for the courage to act on my decisions, no matter what others say or do.

Please help me in all things that I do: that I may be able to lead with confidence, even if it is the hardest thing imaginable; that I may be able to make difficult decisions with grace and mercy; that those who follow me will trust me as a leader and not as a dictator; that my family will grow stronger under my leadership; that my country will prosper under my guidance; that my city will flourish as a result of my influence; that our home will be a haven for those who need refuge from the storms of life.

Please help me in all things that I do: so that people may look up to me as an example of what it means to be strong without being harsh; so that they may seek after me as someone who can help them find peace within themselves even while they struggle against external forces outside their control; so that they may come before me knowing they are valued by someone who understands their

Dear God,

I ask for your guidance and strength today. I also ask that you provide me with the authority to make decisions and act upon them.

I want to be able to make decisions that will benefit not only myself, but those around me as well. Please help me learn how to lead others in such a way that they feel empowered, valued and respected. I know this power is within myself, but it can only come out when I am centered in my own truth and have the confidence to speak it clearly and confidently.

Dear Lord,

I ask for your guidance and help. I am a humble servant, and I ask that you guide me through this process with wisdom and power. Please show me the way to be a leader in all aspects of my life, not just in my career. Help me to be the best version of myself so that I may serve others in the way they need me most.

Help me to go above and beyond what is expected of me, even when it seems like no one is watching or cares about what I am doing. Show me how to be a good leader so that others will follow me without question or hesitation—not because they have to but because they want to!

Create in me an unshakable confidence that comes from knowing I have always been guided correctly by your teachings on leadership throughout history. And finally, Lord—make me selfless enough not to care about whether or not others recognize my efforts; instead, let them know every day how much value they have added by working alongside me!

Dear God,

I ask for your divine guidance today. I ask that you place my feet on the right path and give me the wisdom to make good decisions. Help me to keep my plans simple and effective, and guide me in making them happen. I pray that you give me the courage to stand up for what’s right, and the strength to keep going even when it’s hard. Please help me to be honest with myself and others, but most of all with you. Amen
