Prayer For A Cancer Patient

Prayer for a cancer patient is very necessary. Prayer is the greatest healer, which everyone needs on this earth. Some people think that there are no forces greater than medicine in the world today, but they are wrong. We have doctors and medicines to cure our diseases, but we still have to use prayer as much as possible to improve our health situation. All of us pray to God for strength, courage, and patience to be able to bear the sufferings of our loved ones. Prayers are never wasted. If you have a loved one who is suffering from cancer or any disease, you can always seek the help of the almighty through prayer.

It is not my desire to be offensive, but I just don’t know what else to do. I am praying that someone can give me guidance. Please pray for a friend of mine who has been diagnosed with cancer…their prognosis is not good. They have five children, their oldest is a fifteen-year-old son who has autism and an intellectual disability. There is such a special need for God’s healing grace and protection for them! Parents are people too, they need God’s loving arms around them and protection from everything that would come against them. I thought the world was a happy place when I was fifteen. But now that I am forty-eight, in retrospect I should have put down the Sponge Bob popsicle (don’t judge…those were the days) and just LIVED life more when I had the chance so many years ago. It wasn’t until two years ago that my husband and I began to worry about our three children’s futures after we die – at thirty-eight years old we came to terms with our mortality. My husband recently left his $50,000+ job in order to transition into being self-employed so he can be home more during our children’s critical teenage years before they leave

I was walking down the hall when I heard a lady yelling for help. She was sitting in the stairwell paging for help and looked very wound up. I approached her but she told me not to come near her. When she calmed down, I discovered that she had cancer and was confused and scared. She called 911 to get some help but help hadn’t arrived yet. While we were waiting for the ambulance, she told me that she prayed to God to cure her disease before it was too late. I assured her that everything would be alright. After ten minutes later they finally arrived and took her in the first-aid room so they could check if something was wrong with her.

Prayer for a cancer friend

Introduction

I’m in the middle of a three-week stay at a camp in the forest. It’s called Camp Braveheart and is meant to be an introduction to life with cancer which I’ll undergo later this year.

I met a friend here, Linda, who is battling cancer (as are all of us). She asked me to pray for her, and I do; but not only for her.

Dear Lord,

Dear Lord,

I pray for my friend with cancer. Please help him through this difficult time. Please give him strength and courage to fight cancer and ask you for help in all things. Help him to remember that he is not alone, but has friends like me who love him dearly and will stand by his side as he goes through this process. Please be with him now and always, so that he may find peace within himself during these trying times. Help us all to be humble enough to ask for your guidance and assistance when we need it most, so that we may better serve those around us who are struggling in life. Thank you for hearing my prayer today

I pray for my friend who is battling cancer.

I pray for my friend who is battling cancer.

I ask you to be with him and show him your love and mercy. Please protect his family, friends and loved ones as they support him through this difficult time. Guide them in what is best for their friend, who is suffering so much physically and emotionally. Give him strength to face each day with courage and hope in his heart that you will heal his body as well as his spirit; bring healing not only to the cancer itself but also any other physical or emotional problems that are being caused by the disease (e.g., depression). Let him know that there have been many people who have gone through similar experiences before him—people who were healed by You even though they did not have the same medical treatment options available today—and let these stories give hope when all seems hopeless.[2]

I pray that You would give her strength and healing.

I pray that you would give her strength and healing.

Give her strength to endure the treatment. Give her healing in her body, mind, emotions and spirit.

I pray for God’s peace to rest on you and your family during this time of difficulty. That you would be able to trust in Him even though it may be difficult at times.

I pray that she would feel Your presence in the midst of her suffering.

I pray that she would feel Your presence in the midst of her suffering.

I pray that she would know You are there with her, holding her close to Your heart.

I pray that she would be able to draw upon Your strength and courage as she faces this battle.

I pray that she would rest in the knowledge that You are guiding her path, even if it is not what we expect or hope for.

I pray that You would bring comfort and peace to all those who love her, knowing their pain is eased by the One who knows grief firsthand (Isaiah 54:4).

Lord, You are the Great Healer and I know You are able to do this amazing thing in her body.

Dear heavenly Father,

I ask you to grant my friend the grace of healing. You are the great Healer and I know that You are able to do this amazing thing in her body. God has made everything beautiful in its time; He has also given us His Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until redemption (Psalm 104:13-14). It is written: “He sent His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave” (Psalm 107:20). The Lord Jesus Christ said: “The Father who lives in me does his works” (John 14:10).

You have provided for everything that pertains to our life on Earth—our very breath comes from You! We must realize that all things work together for good to those who love God, those called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). And we know that all things work together for good because we love Him who first loved us (1 John 4:19).

Thank You for the medical knowledge that exists today.

  • Thank You for the medical knowledge that exists today.
  • Remind yourself that we have come a long way since the days of bleeding and purging, and remind yourself to be thankful for all that modern doctors can do.
  • Give thanks to the nurses and doctors who are caring for your friend, as well as his/her family members who are helping him/her get through this difficult time in life.

I pray for the doctors, nurses, and medical staff. Please give them wisdom in how to treat my friend.

  • I pray for peace for my friend’s family as well as myself.
  • I pray that God will intervene on behalf of my friend and her health.

Give them a sense of compassion, Lord, as they work with her day after day.

We have a right to expect that our doctors and nurses will be compassionate, kind, patient and respectful. They should help their patients feel safe with them. Their job is already stressful enough; they need to be able to trust their patients with the knowledge that they will be treated well during office visits and procedures. Please use your influence in heaven to help these professionals remember their calling as healers for others through Christ-like actions every day.

Give her much peace during this journey. May she feel Your presence and guidance along the way.
