Missions in Haiti

Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Four out of five Haitians live on less than two dollars a day. In rural areas, the number is closer to three out of four. More than 80% of the population relies on rain-fed open wells and rivers for their water supply. Yearly rainfall can be as low as 4 inches and as high as 60 inches. Diseases are rampant because clean water is not available or easily available. The UN says only 18% of Haitians have access to an improved water source that is protected from outside contamination. They also say Haiti has the worst sanitation in the hemisphere; most people are forced to defecate in the streets and rivers.

Missions in Haiti

MISSION OF HOPE is a Christian, non-profit organization that partners with the Haitian people to address physical and spiritual needs.

Since 1994, MISSION OF HOPE has been building a medical clinic in Cazale and expanding the ministry of “Hope” in Haiti. In 2005, we expanded our ministry to include an orphanage for children 0 – 3 years old. We are currently caring for 60 children and 40 staff members at the orphanage.

In addition to caring for orphans, MISSION OF HOPE operates a campus in Cazale as well as one in Port au Prince called Hope Center that includes an academy educating over 1,100 students from K – 12th grade; a trade school training over 140 students; a medical clinic that sees over 25,000 patients each year; and many other programs such as feeding centers, water filtration plants and microenterprise shops.

Mission of Hope Haiti is a Christian non-profit organization that provides hope to the people of Haiti through the development of educational programs, healthcare, nutritional support, and community development. MOH is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Gainesville, Florida. It was founded by Perry Crawford after he visited Haiti for the first time in 1995.

Over time, Mission of Hope has developed into a crucial component of Haiti’s future. We are able to have a positive impact in Haiti one person at a time by collaborating with people and groups at all levels – nationally and internationally.

Mission trips to Haiti orphanages are a good example of why mission trips are important. Orphanages are places where children who have no parents or guardians are cared for by adults. They have no one to look after them and provide for their needs. To survive, they need to be fed, clothed, and housed. But without someone to do that for them, they often live in destroyed buildings with little food or water. They don’t get enough sleep because the buildings are cold at night. They often don’t get an education because the adults in charge can’t afford to buy books or pay teachers.

A mission trip provides an opportunity for you and others like you to help these children by caring for them and providing them with basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter. You can also provide opportunities for these children to get an education if you want to become a teacher on your next mission trip

It is important to note that there have been kidnappings in Haiti. However, it is very rare. It has not happened to any of our groups, nor has it ever happened to any other groups we know of that went through reputable organizations. If you visit Haiti through a reputable organization, you will be safe. The best way for you to avoid becoming a target is by traveling in large numbers. Never go anywhere alone and always travel with a group from a reputable organization.

Missions in Haiti are more fun, safe and impactful in the dry season. The dry season typically runs from January to March.

Mission trips vary from 7-10 days total trip time.

Trip costs vary based on the organization you travel with. We recommend looking around to find the best deal for airfare and a team that will provide a place to stay and food while you are there.

The Nehemiah Mission of Haiti, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 1998 with the mission to minister and evangelize to the Haitian people. The ministry has since expanded and now includes construction projects, medical missions, prayer team trips, and other Christian support programs.

We are dedicated to providing the poorest of Haitians with basic necessities such as food, water, clothing, shelter and medical care through our various projects including our orphanage program. We provide opportunities for teams from all over the world to be involved in building homes for those affected by natural disasters such as hurricanes or floods and provide training for locals who want to learn new skills such as bricklaying or roofing.

We also run an agricultural program that teaches how best to use the land for crops and animal breeding so that people can grow their own food rather than live on donated rations.

  • concerns about the safety of mission trips to haiti are valid, but the risk of danger is over-exaggerated. Missionaries should not be afraid to go on a trip to Haiti, but they should be aware of their surroundings and know where it’s safe and where it’s not.
  • places in Haiti that are safe for missionaries to visit include Désarmes and Parc Cadeau. These towns have a good security system in place, so you don’t have to worry too much about being somewhere you can’t trust. There are guards around the area who prevent trouble from happening.
  • other places in Haiti that are unsafe for missionaries to visit include areas near the Dominican Republic border, such as Bombardopolis and Terrier Rouge. These areas do not have a strong security system, which increases your chances of getting hurt or robbed by someone who lives there. It would be dangerous for you if you visit these places without any protection with you because there is nobody around who will help if something bad happens

Mission trips to Haiti orphanages

Mission trips to Haiti orphanages are a great way to help the children of Haiti.

Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world, and it has been affected by both natural disasters and political instability. The country is also a place where many people live in poverty, so it can be hard for them to afford food or other necessities for their families.

One way that people who want to help Haiti can do so is by making a mission trip to Haiti orphanages. Mission trips are organized by groups that want to help out these orphanages by bringing them supplies or helping them with repairs. If you decide that this is something you would like to do, then there are some things that you should consider before going on your trip:

First of all, make sure that your group has a plan before they go on their trip. They should have an idea of what they will be doing when they get there and how much time they will spend at each orphanage they visit. They should also know who they are going with and what kind of transportation they will have while traveling around in Haiti during their stay there; if possible, try not to use public transportation because it can be very dangerous due

Mission trips to Haiti orphanages are an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of orphaned children. You can help them by providing them with food, clothing, and other necessities. You can also teach them new skills, such as English or computer literacy.
