Introduction

In today’s world, many people experience a lot of stress and anxiety. On any given day, people may feel stressed out or anxious because of work, school, health issues, family problems or other concerns. In many cases, these feelings can become overwhelming and lead to even greater feelings of worry. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to reduce worry that comes from stress and anxiety. One effective technique is using Catholic prayer for anxiety and stress as a means of coping with these emotions. It is important to remember that God hears all prayers when we ask for his help in times of need. However, some prayers may be more effective than others when it comes to reducing the amount of worry we feel about particular situations — especially those involving significant amounts of uncertainty

Dear Lord, please give me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart. My soul is like a turbulent sea. I can’t seem to find my balance so I stumble and worry constantly. Give me the strength and clarity of mind to find my purpose and walk the path you’ve laid out for me. I trust your Love God, and know that you will heal this stress that I just can’t seem to shake. Just as the sun rises each day against the dark of night. Please bring me clarity with the light of God. Amen

God is sovereign, and he is in control! He knows your pain better than anyone else on Earth does! He cares about every one of us individually because each human life matters deeply to him (Luke 12:7). Your Father in heaven loves you with an eternal love (John 3:16-17). He wants nothing more than for us all actually know Him personally through Jesus Christ! We are made by God’s own hand (Psalm 139:13-14). We were created by His very breath into existence(Genesis 2:7), so how could it be possible for us not live forever? When we sin against our Creator God hates having any part in making us suffer; however even though he hates for us to suffer there are some things that cannot be avoided especially when we choose wrong instead doing what he tells us (Deuteronomy 30:19-20).

Dear God, I come before you seeking your guidance and help as I face ______. There are things beyond my control, even though I want to fix everything in my life. Help me be at peace with knowing that some things are just not meant to be mended. Allow me the wisdom to know that you work all things out for good for those who love you and are called according to your purpose (Romans 8:28). When anxiety fills my thoughts and worries consume my emotions, help me turn to you instead of dwelling on problems or situations that are beyond my control. Wherever there is anxiety, bring your peace (Phil 4:6-7). Remind me that in your company, I need not be afraid (Psalm 46:2). In Jesus’ name, Amen

Conclusion

If you’re a Catholic who suffers from anxiety, it can be helpful to think of prayer as both a way to cope with your worries and as a tool for dealing with those anxieties. The power of prayer is that it can help us recognise our own anxieties in the first place so we know when to use these tools. Perhaps most importantly, praying for anxiety means praying for peace — not just physical peace but also spiritual peace. When we feel anxious or stressed out about something in particular, using prayers such as these are great ways to remember that God is always there even when it seems like nothing else will take care of our problems
