Catholic morning prayer for today

Catholic morning prayer for today: Good morning, friends!

Today I wanted to talk about a special prayer we say in the Catholic Church. It’s called the Litany of Saints, and it’s a way for us to thank God for all the amazing people who have gone before us.

The Litany goes like this:

“Lord have mercy on us.” (pause)

“Christ have mercy on us.” (pause)

“Lord have mercy on us.” (pause)

“Christ hear us.” (pause)

“Christ graciously hear us.” (pause)

“God the Father of heaven,” (pause)

“God the Son,” (pause)

“God the Holy Spirit,” (pause)

“Holy Trinity,” (pause)

Today I am thankful for the opportunity to pray with you.

This morning, we will be reflecting on the many ways that God has been guiding and leading us in our lives. We will also reflect on the ways that we have been blessed by God’s love through others.

May this prayer be a blessing to you today and always!

Introduction

We should pray in the morning because it helps keep us focused on what really matters during the day. It’s easy to get caught up in daily tasks, our jobs, and thinking about things that aren’t important–that’s why we need prayer!

GOD’S BLESSING UPON ME TODAY

Blessing is a prayer of thanksgiving, asking for God’s help. It is also a way to ask for his blessing and protection.

In the Catholic tradition, it is said that we should bless ourselves with holy water every day when we awaken in the morning.

O Lord, bless me as I get up this morning. Help me to start the day in peace and contentment. May my heart and body be filled with your love and spiritual strength. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

As you get up this morning, pray for peace and contentment. May your heart be filled with love, and may your body be strengthened in spirit by the Lord.”

This is a simple prayer, but it can help us start the day in an attitude of thanksgiving for all our blessings, whether big or small. The word “blessed” has two meanings: to be happy and lucky; or to feel fortunate enough that you can give something back to God (and others) in return. We all want both!

MY PRAYER FOR THE DAY

  • Pray for peace of mind and heart.
  • Your daily prayer for today will be: “My Lord, give me peace of mind and heart.”
  • You should find yourself feeling calmer and more relaxed throughout the day as you pray this prayer every morning.

Grant, O Lord, that I may begin this day in peace; help me to put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginings, that I may enter upon the duties of today calmly and serenely, putting all trust in Your holy will. Incline my heart to cheerful obedience to Your commands, that all my works may find acceptance in Your sight. So direct my thoughts and actions this day by Your inspiration, that I may do always what is pleasing in Your sight; through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Today’s prayer is as follows:

Grant, O Lord, that I may begin this day in peace; help me to put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginings, that I may enter upon the duties of today calmly and serenely, putting all trust in Your holy will. Incline my heart to cheerful obedience to Your commands, that all my works may find acceptance in Your sight. So direct my thoughts and actions this day by Your inspiration, that I may do always what is pleasing in Your sight; through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Get up and pray for your day ahead

This is a time for you to be quiet and pray for the day ahead. Pray for your family, friends and enemies. Pray for yourself, too. You need to get up and start the day with a prayer so that you can lead a healthy life. The Lord will help you through your work and finances if you ask Him to do so.

Even though life may seem difficult at times, we must remember that God is always there by our side providing guidance when we need it most!

Conclusion

God is always there for us, but we need to be willing to ask for His help. We must be willing to make the effort to turn our hearts and minds towards Him in prayer and ask Him for His help when things are hard or confusing. It’s easy just to let life happen without thinking about God—but it doesn’t have to be that way. We don’t have to live that way!
