Bind In The Bible

Bind In The Bible: In the Bible, there are many references to binding. In the book of Genesis, God instructs Adam and Eve not to eat from a particular tree on the grounds that “in the day that you eat from it, you will surely die.” (Genesis 2:17) Later in Genesis, Cain kills his brother Abel and is punished by God when He puts a mark on Cain’s forehead so that everyone would know he was cursed. (Genesis 4:15)

In Exodus, Moses asks God to let him see His Glory. Instead of showing him His glory, God tells him he can only see His backside as He passes by him (Exodus 33:18). This is an example of binding because Moses’ request has been denied and he cannot see what he wanted. In Leviticus 23:5-8 there are instructions for preparing offerings for Passover and Unleavened Bread where the instructions read “you shall eat unleavened bread seven days” which is another example of binding because these instructions cannot be broken or ignored without consequences

Bind In The Bible

Introduction

It is often said that the devil will use anything to keep you from the truth. Another way that he does this is by convincing people that God’s Word isn’t true. One of those words that has been used to create confusion and misinformation about God’s word is bind. Bind has a simple definition, “to tie or fasten together with something such as cord or wire.” Yet when it comes to Christian circles and bible verses we seem to think it means other things as well. The devil loves it when you make a verse say something other than what it actually says so let’s look at some of the most common misunderstood verses and see what bind really means.”

Matthew 12:29 NIV

You can bind the strong man

Jesus said that you could bind the strong man’s possessions. What does this mean? The spiritual realm is divided into three parts: heaven, earth, and hell. God rules over heaven; Satan rules over hell; and we live on earth. Heaven is a perfect place where there are no problems or afflictions like there are on earth. Hell is a horrible place where people suffer from great pain, pain that will never end unless they repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior before it’s too late (Revelation 20:15).

The devil has been ruling over our world since the beginning of time (John 12:31 NIV). He deceived Adam and Eve into eating fruit off of God’s forbidden tree in order to separate them from Him so he could corrupt their minds with wicked thoughts (Genesis 3:1-5). This sin separated us from being able to have fellowship with God because they committed adultery against Him by eating fruit off His tree instead of obeying Him as they were told to do!

Ephesians 6:11-13 NIV

In order to bind the strongman, you need to ask God to remove the stronghold. This can be done through prayer and asking God for help. Ephesians 6:11-13 NIV says, “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” When we pray about it and ask God for help in removing these strongholds from our lives, He will give us strength through His Word and His Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NKJV

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Romans 8:28 NIV

If you’re looking for a Bible verse that is all about binding, Romans 8:28 should be your go-to. In this passage, Paul writes that we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Conquerors. More than conquerors. Conquerors through him who loved us.

Paul uses the word “conquer,” which can mean “to overcome” or “to defeat.” This is an example of what some people call an “action-oriented” verb—one that describes something you do to yourself or someone else (like bind). The word comes from an ancient Latin word meaning “to subdue by force,” but it’s been long since lost its military connotations and now means just about anything you want it to mean except for maybe tying shoelaces or opening bottles of wine with ease (sorry).

Mark 16:17 AMP

The Gospel of Mark, which says “the kingdom of God is within you” and that the power of God is in you, has a very specific verse about binding. It’s Mark 16:17 AMP (emphasis added):

And these signs will accompany those who have believed: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak new languages; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people and heal them.

In Mark 16:17 AMP, there are six things listed that happen when one believes in Jesus Christ—things like casting out demons and healing the sick. However, there is no mention of being able to bind demons with our words or our faith! Rather than being a teaching about binding demons through speaking aloud or commanding them to leave before we even know if any exist nearby (much less how we would know), this passage refers instead

Mark 11:23 NKJV

Jesus says that he has authority to bind and loose.

Binding means restraint, but it is not the same as condemning. Condemnation is something we do for our own benefit; binding is something Jesus does for our benefit (and his benefit as well). In other words, Jesus can bind Satan’s power so that it cannot work on us in any way at all!

When a strong man (Satan) steals from you or binds you with fear, shame or guilt – Jesus can bind him (the strong man) and his works forever! The only thing that stops him from binding the strong man is your faith in the Word of God and belief in who Jesus Christ really is!

James 4:7 NKJV

James 4:7 NKJV

Every man is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

You can see that this verse clearly teaches us that there are things we can do to keep our desires under control. The Bible teaches us that God wants us to live lives of holiness and purity—he does not want us to be led around by our passions or desires!

Bind means to restrain or prevent someone from doing something

Bind is a term that has two very different meanings.

The first meaning is “restrain or prevent someone from doing something.” For example:

  • You’re going to be bound by your contract to stay in the house until midnight. This means that you can’t leave, no matter how much you want to! You won’t be able to go out and see your friends, eat at restaurants, or even go on walks around town. If you try doing any of these things without permission from the boss who signed your binding contract, they’ll sue them and get their money back from all those nights spent at home alone watching Netflix instead of going out with friends like normal people do when they’re not being forced into house arrest by an evil boss who hates fun so much he wouldn’t even let us take walks around town during our five-minute breaks between shifts…if we had any breaks at all because apparently having three days off per week isn’t enough time for them either; it’s more like one day off every five weeks rather than every six months if you’re lucky enough not only survive but also keep yourself safe throughout those long stretches between pay periods where we still have jobs just barely paying us enough money each month so hopefully someday soon we’ll finally start making enough money again that maybe then maybe then maybe eventually someday after all this hard work…when will things ever change?

Conclusion

There are many things that you must bind in order to be successful. If you do not bind them, they will get the better of you and cause much grief. You must bind fear, doubt, unbelief, and sickness from your life. You must also bind the devil from your life so that he cannot have any influence over you. When we bind something, we prevent it from having any control over us or our lives. We also have the ability to loose things such as blessings, prosperity and healing
