In 1975, Wommack and his wife, Jamie, founded Charis Bible College in Woodland Park, Colorado.

In Woodland Park, Colorado, Wommack and his wife Jamie established Charis Bible College in 1975. It is an unconventional institution that offers courses in the Bible and Christian ethics. Since then, the institution has grown to include campuses in Colorado Springs and Denver as well as abroad in countries like Canada, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, and India.

In 1979, Wommack introduced the television program Gospel Truth. The weekly show is broadcast on more than 70 broadcast stations in the US, as well as on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), Daystar Television Network (DTN), Revelation TV, and Sky Angel networks. Andrew Wommack Ministries (AWM) was founded by Wommack in 1981 when he relocated from Texas to Colorado. AWM is made up of Charis Bible College (CBC), Gospel Truth Seminars (GTS), AWM Publishing Group, and Conservative Talk Radio, a radio ministry that currently airs 11 hours per day on 70+ stations across America.

Wommack serves on the board of directors for the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB).

His teachings are simple yet profound, and have been broadcast on more than 800 radio stations and satellite networks around the world in English, Spanish, and Portuguese since 1991. The Gospel Truth program is also available via podcast, live stream, and archived video.

He has appeared on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and Daystar Television Network.

Daystar Television Network, based in Dallas, Texas, was founded by Marcus Lamb and his wife Joni Lamb in 1993. Daystar officially launched on March 31, 1997; the network experienced continued growth for the next several years, intersecting with Andrew Wommack’s media ministry. As of 2019 the network covers more than 200 countries and territories throughout the world and reaches over 400 million viewers globally.[7]

His teaching is also a featured part of TBN-Europe’s “Daily Lift” program.

For work above and beyond his calling, Dr. Wommack was awarded an honorary doctorate from the International College of Excellence.

Andrew Wommack was born in 1953. His father was a minister, which had a great influence on him. As a child and teenager, Wommack experienced Pentecostal and Baptist teachings. While still in his teens, he married and had a son. In the 1970s, he and his wife attended Bible schools and joined organizations that promote Word of Faith concepts.
