Prayer for Stress: A Prayer for Stress

Jesus, I know you can help me. I’ve prayed to you before and I know that you hear my prayers. I need you now more than ever before. There is so much going on in my life right now and it seems like it’s never-ending. My stress level is constantly on the rise, but I know that with your help, I can get through this difficult period of time with ease.

I feel overwhelmed by all the things happening around me right now. It seems like there are just too many things happening at once and they all require my attention. The deadlines keep coming in faster than I can handle them, and I’m getting behind in everything that’s important to me.

My family needs me right now more than ever before, but there isn’t enough time in the day for me to take care of all their needs as well as my own! How do other people do it? How do they manage to keep up with everything?

I’m tired of being stressed out all the time! It feels like there are never enough hours in my day for everything that needs done!

If you’re feeling stressed, the best thing you can do for yourself is to take a deep breath and put it in perspective.

When we think about stress, we tend to focus on the things that are stressing us out. But when we do that, we’re only looking at half of the picture. It’s also important to focus on what’s good in our lives—the things that help us feel calm and peaceful.

Just like everything else in life, stress comes with its upsides as well as its downsides. Stress can be motivating; it can help us achieve things that would otherwise seem impossible; it can make us feel alive and invigorating.

But stress can also be overwhelming; it can cause us to lose sight of what’s important; and it can make us feel stuck in a rut without any way out.

A Prayer For Stress

Lord, it feels like I am surrounded by stress.

  • Recognize the stress.
  • Ask for guidance to see the situation clearly and find peace in it.
  • Ask for strength to deal with it properly and calmly, even if this means saying no or taking a break.
  • Ask for help from others who have dealt with similar situations, like friends or family members who have been there before you.
  • Ask for faith that God has a plan for you, even if you don’t know what it is right now—you’ll be able to handle anything he sends your way if you accept his will as his gift just as much as any other aspect of life on earth!
  • Consider asking someone else (such as a counselor) how they’ve gained wisdom through past experiences; this can help guide us towards solutions when we’re stuck in stressful situations ourselves!

There are so many things that demand my attention, and stretching my time so thin.

There are so many things that demand my attention, and stretching my time so thin.

  • Pray for patience and wisdom
  • Pray for strength to deal with the situation
  • Pray for help to manage work, family life, and relationships
  • Pray for help to meet deadlines
  • Pray for help to deal with difficult people

So much seems to be out of my control.

Stress. We don’t need to tell you what it is—you know. The feeling of being overwhelmed, the feeling that you can’t do it all, the guilt and anger at yourself for not putting in more effort or being more successful or productive.

Stress is a normal part of life; there will always be things that stress us out. But when we let stress take over our lives, when we let it become our default mode of operation without addressing it directly and specifically, then it becomes a problem that needs fixing before we can get on with life as usual.

You don’t necessarily have to change your whole schedule or life goals to address this problem; sometimes just stepping back from your daily routine and taking a moment to breathe deeply and evaluate how stressed out (or not) you are will help immensely in allowing yourself some space from the pressures around you so that they stop ruling over every aspect of your day-to-day existence.”
