A Prayer For A Friend Who Is Sick

This is a prayer I wrote for a friend who was sick: Although it’s brief, it contains every aspect of a strong prayer. I hope that God would provide you healing and that He will hasten and simplify this procedure. I hope that you’ll be able to beat your illness and resume living your life on your terms—possibly in time for your birthday the following week! There are several different ways to pray for a sick buddy. Hold their hand, speak words of comfort and encouragement to them, or just be there for them. However, asking God to cure your friend is the best thing you can do in your prayers. It is impossible, as you are aware if you believe in God.

. He will answer every prayer that comes from a true heart and with faith in Him. And when you pray for your friend’s healing, He will answer that prayer as well.

But what if your friend isn’t saved? What if they don’t believe in God? Then how can you pray for them? This is where faith takes over… because even if they don’t believe in God yet, we know that He loves us all so much that He wants us all to be saved from our sins and go to Heaven when we die—and He has provided salvation through His Son Jesus Christ so that anyone who believes in Him can be saved from eternal punishment in Hell after death has come upon them!

A Prayer For A Friend Who Is Sick

Dear Lord,

Dear Lord,

I pray for healing for my friend [name]. I pray that you would send your healing angels to comfort them and to heal their body. In your name, amen.

Lord, I lift up _________ to You. She is sick and I am concerned for her. This illness has caused her much suffering and she is discouraged by how long it is taking to heal.

Lord, I lift up _________ to You. She is sick and I am concerned for her. This illness has caused her much suffering and she is discouraged by how long it is taking to heal. Please comfort her with Your love and strength. Help her not to be anxious or afraid, but to have faith that You will help her get well again soon. May she find peace in knowing that You are near when she needs You most, even when there seems to be no hope at all!

We come to You asking for Your healing power to restore ___________ to a state of health and wholeness.

We come to You asking for Your healing power to restore ___________ to a state of health and wholeness.

In the Bible, we see Jesus healing the sick. For example, when he healed a paralytic man by forgiving his sins (Matthew 9:1-8), or when he healed all who were ill on a Sabbath day (Luke 13:10-17). The Bible tells us that God wants us all to be well physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. But we must understand that God doesn’t just cure our diseases; He heals them!

To help understand the difference between curing and healing consider this analogy: if you have cancer it may be possible that through surgery or radiation treatment your body can be cured of cancer – but if you do not get rid of all traces of cancer cells in your body then even though there is no physical evidence of it left behind in your body; those cells are still there! This means one day they could come back again – which would obviously not be good news because now instead of dealing with one form of disease like cancer; you would have two forms instead depending on which type(s) had been removed surgically/radiation therapy wasn’t used properly so some residual cells remained untreated… etcetera ad infinitum until they finally got around “fixing” everything else too late so now they’ve lost hope altogether at least not without trying first anyway.”

Lord, I pray for Your healing hand to be upon my friend in a mighty way. I pray that she will experience a miraculous healing that will glorify You in the land of the living.

Congratulations! Your friend has been healed!

Now, you may be wondering how to pray for a friend who is sick. If so, we’ve got you covered. Here are some helpful tips:

  • Pray for healing for your friends that are in need of healing. For example, if your friend has cancer or another serious illness and needs healing from God’s hand, then this is the prayer group where you need to be.
  • If you want to pray for someone else specifically because they are sick and need prayer for them (like their family members), this would also work well here.
  • You can even ask God if He wants to heal anyone else who needs it through prayer—it doesn’t hurt anything by asking Him directly!

Heal her body, soul, and spirit, O God. Strengthen her with Your might that she may know Your healing power in every area of her life. May Your Spirit bring peace and comfort to her as she experiences Your healing touch.

God, thank You that You are never far away when we are hurting. Thank You that we can call upon You no matter where we are or what time of day or night it is. Thank You that You hear our prayers and respond in love and mercy to our needs.

Thank You for being so patient with us as we grow in faith and trust in Your promises, because it is not easy to have faith when there are so many challenges around us every day. Help our friend believe that no matter what happens, Your plan for his life will be good, even if he doesn’t understand why things happen the way they do.

In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”

Lord, I ask that you would give _______ strength during this difficult time in her life. May she cast all her anxiety on You because you care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Help these trials to draw us both nearer to You so that we may grow closer in our relationship with Jesus Christ through them.
